Hereditary Brain Aneurysm Support Fundraising Event

We’re here to support people and families impacted by brain aneurysms, to help change people’s stories from devastation to hope and ultimately save lives.
You can help us.

Brain aneurysms and

hereditary risk

Did you know, brain aneurysms are common than you think? An estimated 1 in 30 people has one; that’s approximately two million people in the UK living with an unruptured aneurysm today. Every week, 96 people in the UK suffer from a ruptured brain aneurysm, 30 people die and 40 others are left with life changing injuries from this sudden and unexpected condition. From this group, 12 people will have the hereditary condition that potentially could have been screened for and treated before rupture.

We’re a small and mighty, patient-led, charity, here to:

  • Create better awareness for brain aneurysms and hereditary risks every where we can.

  • Help people and families impacted by brain aneurysms by providing support, vital specialist resources and balanced information to help them live well and make informed choices.

  • Support world-leading research studies into brain aneurysms, drive our own research initiatives, and work with medical and research experts to improve understanding of prevalence, risk and prevention and care
